While designed primarily for residents of the Belle Terre colony, it also welcomes to its hospitality, as guests, those who desire for a longer or shorter period to make an experimental stay at the Estates with a view to permanent affiliation with the colony..." In order to maintain the standard set for itself, the management reserves the privilege of declining applicants who in its judgment would find themselves out of harmony with the avowed spirit of the Club colony."
"The Club House provides resident accommodations for about one hundred members, with several auxiliary detached cottages...."
"The sleeping rooms are large, airy and well lighted. They are arranged singly or en suite [see floor plans below]. All have private baths or stationary lavatories, and most of them open fire-places. Until the completion of the new Motor Parkway the most direct and desirable route to Belle Terre for motorists from New York is by way of Jericho Turnpike.... This road is in very good condition, except during the early spring and late autumn."
"Motorists with light-powered cars, instead of climbing the steep hill at East Broadway in Port Jefferson, may turn south on Main street toward the station, taking the last left-hand turn before reaching the station, and following the signs reading 'Belle Terre.'" "There are ten trains each day to and from New York, via Long Island R. R. from East 34th Street, also from Flatbush Avenue Station, Brooklyn, giving an express service during the season of an hour and twenty minutes, with special 'Belle Terre' car attached to the most luxurious train. Rates, Five Dollars a Day and Up."
