USO Clubhouse "U.S.O. Clubhouse, Jamestown, R.I." This was built on the site of the Gardner House, on the corner of Conanicus Avenue and Union Street. Since 1946 it has been used by the town for such things as the Police Station and now the Community Center.

Conanicut Yacht Club Left: "Conanicut Yacht Club, Jamestown." This building was constructed in 1917. The building was damaged in the 1954 hurricane and eventually removed. Right: The Yacht Club showing the house on the rocks (Clingstone) and Horsehead in the distance.

The Casino Shoreby Hill and Casino From the Water"Casino and Shore Drive." The building was originally the Shoreby Hill Club and moved to this location in 1911. The left part was the ballroom and has been removed. It is now privately owned. Right: Shoreby Hill with the Casino at the left.

Shorby Hill Residence C. W. BaileyLeft: "Shorby Hill, Jamestown, R. I." The fancy red design above the title is covering the incorrect "Sharby" only to print another misspelling of Shoreby. This is a planned arrangement of summer places off Conanicus Avenue. Right: "Residence of C. W. Bailey, Jamestown, R. I." mailed in 1918. This home is in the Shoreby Hill section and was built about 1898. Later cards show the side porches closed in and it is called "The Crozer Place."

Casino Maplewood, Bay Voyage, 1913 "Bathing Beach, Jamestown" mailed in 1913. At the left is the Casino, in the middle Maplewood and on the right is the Bay Voyage Hotel.

Dr. Bates' Sanatarium Maple Wood 1914Left: "Dr. Bates' Sanatarium, Jamestown, R. I." The worn sign over the door has the name of the Sanitarium, Maplewood. This house, built in 1887, was an annex for Maplewood. It still exists. The porch was glassed in later. Right: "Maple Wood, Jamestown" with notes on the back dated 1914. The tents were for sleeping in the fresh air. The building was on Conanicus Avenue across from the Bay Voyage Hotel. It was built in 1889-90 and burned down in 1944.
